A home invasion by armed males occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Barnes Lane near the cross with Hwy 162 in the Covelo area, according to reports over the scanner. When the suspects fled the area, one person followed them onto Biggar Lane where the suspects crashed into a creek (Possibly Mill Creek).

The vehicle was left smoking in the waterway but, according to information given over the scanner, firefighters are not concerned that there could be a fire.

Reportedly, four Hispanic males possibly still armed with handguns fled along the creek. At about 6:50 p.m., someone reported that they had seen the suspects running up the creek at 2400 Biggar Lane.

At this point, law enforcement is arriving in the area of where the suspects were last seen.
