Man Reportedly Attempting to Stab People and Break Into Homes in Point Arena

Law enforcement is making its way to Point Arena this evening where a man is reportedly attempting to stab others with a knife and breaking into cars and homes in Point Arena this evening.

Scanner traffic beginning around 10:10 p.m. indicated a Hispanic male adult was attempting to stab someone with a knife outside the Point Arena Theater at 214 Main Street.

Just a few minutes later, the same suspect was reportedly attempting to break into cars and homes on Port Street, very close to the theater.

Multiple police agencies are making their way to the coastal town to intervene.


UPDATE 10:31 p.m.: Scanner traffic indicates the suspect was reportedly seen smoking cannabis with a group of locals, appeared to be “calming down”, and then was seen walking and drinking a beer on Mill Street.
