California Insider Interviews Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall About Cartel Presence in Our Rural North

Categories:

Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall sat down for a long-form interview with Siyamak Khorrami, the host of California Insider, an interview series that focuses on California politics, drug policy, and immigration.

Their conversation explored drug cartels and cannabis, opioid deaths, policing tribal lands, and problematic policies emanating from Sacramento.

For a broader context, consider the fact California Insider is a YouTube channel connected to the Epoch Times, which many describe as a far-right media company associated with the Chinese Falun Gong religious movement. California Insider has a tendency to interview figures critical of California’s Democratic supermajority.

    • He starts off “Mendocino County has, historically, had illegal cannabis grows in it.” All that’s changed is that a lot more people have joined into it who aren’t local good old boys thanks to the state of California proposition system.

” 1970s Back to the land movement” – That’s PC for white flight of the late 60s and early 70s because it was predominantly middle to upper class white young adults.

“Compassionate youth of 1996” – The State legalized Medical cannabis and broke our monopoly on the black cannabis market since non-locals were moving in and getting involved in the same game the locals have been in for decades…. – I.E. Violence took place.

Live by the sword, die by the sword sums this interview up.

I like to think of myself as a reporter for the Average Joe. Journalism has become a craft defined largely by city dwellers on America's coasts. It’s time to take it back. I have been an Emerald Triangle resident since 2006 and this is year ten in Mendocino County. Please, email me at matthewplafever@gmail.com if you know a story that needs to be told.
