[UPDATE: Suspected Detained] Manhunt Underway Near Redwood Valley for Man Suspected of Vehicle Theft

After a vehicle pursuit reached speeds of 100 miles per hour, law enforcement has converged near a winery in Redwood Valley looking for a man suspected of vehicle theft who fled on foot.

Scanner traffic indicated the incident began around 5:15 p.m. when law enforcement observed the driver blowing through stop signs and recklessly passing vehicles on the right-hand side of North State Street. The involved vehicle was reportedly a Dodge Ram with a camper shell.

The suspect, described as a white male adult approximately 35 years old with facial hair, foot bailed near Barra Winery prompting a ground search of the immediate area.

Multiple agencies have set up a perimeter around the area and conducting a search of the area.


UPDATE 7:45 p.m.: The suspect was detaiend by law enforcement and the manhunt has concluded.
