The following is a press release issued by the County of Mendocino:
The Mendocino County Museum, the Willits Chamber of Commerce, and the Mendocino County Library are collaborating to present Stone Stories, an afternoon of dramatized readings at Little Lake Cemetery on Sunday, November 5, at 3 p.m.
Museum volunteer Carol Cox has once again dug into researching the legacies of those interred at the Little Lake Cemetery and has uncovered more fascinating stories about the lives of its residents. Local volunteer actors will bring the stories to life with dramatized obituary readings. Librarian and Genealogist Benjamin MacBean will guide guests though the cemetery.
Willits Chamber of Commerce will host this program and include a business mixer for interested parties. Program attendance is free and open to all, but space is limited. If you would like to make reservations or help the Chamber with the event, please call 707-459-7910.
There is still time to volunteer! Get involved! There is still time to sign up as a volunteer – event support volunteers and actors are still needed. Participants must commit to two rehearsals and participation in the final performance on Sunday, November 5, at 3 p.m. Please contact the Museum at firstname.lastname@example.org or 707-234-6365 to sign up.
