First Responders Converging on Remote Area of the Mendocino National Forest After Vehicle Rolls Down Embankment

Firefighters, medics, and rescue personnel are navigating the rural roadways of the Mendocino National Forest this evening after a single vehicle rolled down an embankment causing injuries.

As per a Fish and Game Officer at the scene, the driver and passenger are up and walking, one suffering a back injury and the other suffering lacerations to the face.

Scanner traffic began around 7:47 p.m. reporting the accident in the area of the Hull Mountain Lookout, a popular destination for off-road enthusiasts.

Initial reports indicated the vehicle rolled down an embankment resulting in a possible fatality. Thankfully, as per information from the scene, only injuries resulted from the accident.

As of 8:27 p.m., both a standard air ambulance and a hoist-capable air ambulance have been requested to land at the scene.
