Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Lake County Causing Major Injury

A woman was struck by a vehicle in the Lake County town of Lucerne this evening causing major injuries.

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicates the accident occurred around 5:24 p.m. this evening near the intersection of State Route 20 and Grove Street.

The woman reportedly exited a bus, went to cross the street, and was struck by a vehicle. In the moments after the incident, the female was described as lying in the roadway.

Medical resources arrived on scene and transported her to a nearby hospital.

  1. That area is horrible for pedestrians. You really have to watch for them. Usually at night people in black clothing darting across the hwy. also near the 2 casinos.
