On December 11, 2011, the volunteers of KYBU Round Valley Community Radio powered up the transmitters and began broadcasting to listeners at 96.9FM in Round Valley. KYBU is now celebrating its 12th year broadcasting with a Supporter Appreciation Party on Saturday, December 9 from 6pm-10pm at the Round Valley Library Commons, featuring a silent auction, live music by Round Valley’s favorite funk band, The Funkateers, food and beverages for sale, and fun with fellow KYBU supporters. Members and underwriters can renew at the door or at www.kyburadio.org prior to the event.

This event is sponsored through generous contributions from Keith’s Family Foods and M&M Feed and Supply. Enjoy local wine and beer thanks to donations from the North Coast Brewing Company and Mendocino WineGrowers Inc. Silent auction contributors include M&M Feed and Supply, Vichy Springs Resort, Benbow Inn, Husch Vineyards, MacCallum House, Fog Bottle Shop, Folk Life Farm, Little River Inn, Yoga with Kiersten and more! Outside drinks, food, or dogs are not permitted.

KYBU Round Valley Community Radio is an all volunteer, member supported community radio station that began broadcasting to Covelo/Round Valley listeners at 96.9 FM in 2011, and now streams online at www.kyburadio.org thanks to a grant from the Mendocino Community Foundation’s Fund for Round Valley. KYBU broadcasts a mix of music, talk and public affairs programming. Everyone is invited to join! KYBU is a project of the 501(c)3 nonprofit, Friends of the Round Valley Public Library. For more information, contact KYBU at mail@kyburadio.org.
