The following is a press release issued by the Ukiah Photography Club:
The Ukiah Photography Club is excited to announce its first meeting of the new year on January 6, 2024. The meeting will be held at MEDIUM Art Gallery inside the Pear Tree Center in Ukiah, next to Rod’s Shoes. It will start at 10:00 a.m. and run until noon, providing time for members to connect, share their work, and discuss upcoming projects and events.
The Club has a new theme every month, and January’s theme is “Windows.” Members are encouraged to share photographs that capture the essence of this theme. All submissions are welcome, whether they’re an image of a window with a beautiful view, a window adorned with flowers, or perhaps a metaphorical window. While the Club always encourages members to create new work based on the theme, submissions of archived photos are also accepted.
Photography enthusiasts of all levels are welcome to visit and consider joining the club. It’s an excellent opportunity to network with local photographers, learn new techniques, and share your passion for photography with like-minded individuals.
The Ukiah Photography Club is a group of Mendocino County digital and film photographers representing a range of styles, experience, and expertise. The Club’s monthly meetings and periodic outings include instruction, photo critiques, and lively discussions. The Club’s strength is in its diversity – professional and amateur, old-timers and newcomers, digital and film, color and black & white, landscape and studio, portrait and abstract – even Canon and Nikon.
