[UPDATE: Fire Contained]Covelo Mobile Home ‘Engulfed in Flames’

First responders are converging on a residence in Covelo this evening after a mobile was found reportedly “engulfed in flames”.

The original dispatch came over the scanner around 7:50 p.m. when a member of the Tribal Police reported a mobile home was fully involved near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Tabor Lane.

Reports from the scene indicate ammunition is exploding in the heat. Covelo Fire Department and CAL FIRE have been dispatched.


UPDATE 8:13 p.m.: Firefighters at scene found what was described as a “small trailer” fully involved and quickly contained the fire. The Incident Commander reported personnel are working on mop-up.

  1. Did they let Joseph Hart out of jail? He burned our mobile home down on Spyrock, and was never charged. He was living in Covelo at the time.
