According to traffic over the scanner, at a few minutes past 9 p.m., Ukiah Police began pursuing a Chevy Tahoe for what the officer said was a failure to yield after pulling out of a parking lot and almost crashing into the officer. Soon afterward the Tahoe crashed into a white Audi on North State Street in front of Thurston Honda. The Tahoe rolled and the occupant was taken into custody, according to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner.
The passenger (and possibly the driver) had to be extricated from the Audi and was eventually flown by REACH helicopter out of the area and the driver was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
