  1. Thank you for your information. Now tell us how drugs are in your jail facility? 5 inmates? Someone should be held accountable. We both know drugs didn’t walk-in by themselves. So it’s either staff bringing it in or your staff is not searching well enough during inmate processing, Time for an X-ray scanner.
Do you think the citizens of Mendocino County are going to give you a pass? Think again. We will hold you responsible. Count on that.

    • So I’m curious if you would be ok with anal and vaginal probes? The reality is that anyone determined enough will get what they want to smuggle in. Sometimes, they have them in their anus or vagina, other times they swallow them in balloons. And the X-ray machines have had limited success. I know Lake County has them and find it’s like rolling dice if they work. Unfortunately the lengths people have to go to smuggle has gotten much easier due to various case law decisions and rolling back laws in general. Not that it would surprise me but at the local level, I have never heard of a guard bringing in drugs. On prison, as soon as anyone hits mainline that can get whatever they want as many staff are on the take. It sucks but that is now the reality and everyone in these places know it.

  2. I can reply to mr.snodgrass, i am in no way sticking up for anyone but I can say it is nearly impossible to stop drugs from entering facilities where there are people that want drugs. Prisons have x-ray machines and more drugs than you would imagine. Give a person time and they will find ways around things.

    • Are all persons including deputies bags or lunch boxes searched? Prisons get much of their contraband brought in by the guards themselves.

  3. I made an an account Just so I can post this comment… Obviously the drugs are being brought in by workers and the police/ guards. ACTUALLY INVESTIGATE this and Hold them accountable as you would a regular drug dealer. I PERSONALLY know ppl who have been in this jail and the drugs are already in the facility!!! THERE IS DRUGS IN MENDOCINO COUNTY JAIL AND ITS BEING BROUGHT IN BY THE WORKERS/ GUARDS/ POLICE/ SHERRIFFS.. THE PPL DOING THE INVESTIGATION ARE PROBABLY THE SAME PPL WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE!! Have a 3rd party go in there and clean this mess up.

    • Wrong! The correctional officers are not the ones that are introducing drugs into the facility. The inamte workers such as the (main jail cleaners) and the thrash and laundry crews are mainly the ones that bring any type of contraband into the facility from drugs to lighters, vape pens knifes and so forth. Their lack of security and professionalism as well as their lack of proper training is the reason for any contraband being brought in

  4. Apparently there was an unresponsive 30 yr old woman removed from the jail last night according to Facebook post!

What in the world is going on there?

    ???

  5. Love reading comments
The maggots blame the jail, correctional officers
The self righteous blame the inmates.
Reality it’s probably a combination of jail employees, inmates, visitors and vendors . …. working at same time, at different times….whatever. you’ll never be able to stop contraband from entering a facility.
