A dramatic scene unfolded in Laytonville this evening around 9:30 p.m. after an approximately 60’ mobile home was flattened by a large pine tree crashing down on it, according to the Incident Commander’s report over the scanner.

Thankfully, he said that all occupants vacated the structure without injuries.

He later reported that the utility lines to the home were tangled in the tree and still active and requested PG&E shut off power to the location.

At 9:56 p.m. the Incident Commander reported the residents had left the property for the evening after declining assistance from the Red Cross. They have been directed to avoid the area until PG&E shuts off utilities to the residence.
