A little library in south Ukiah, intended to provide community members easy access to reading materials, was destroyed by vandals over the weekend, according to a Facebook post from the Mendocino County District Attorney.

The incident occurred sometime between Saturday night and Sunday, leaving the community book-sharing structure at Wabash and Laurel in ruins. The DA condemned the act as “beyond disgusting” and criminal, calling on the public to assist in identifying the perpetrator(s). The post went on to say the act of vandalism “should offend all good people.”

Anyone with information related to the vandalism is urged to contact the Ukiah Police Department at 463-6262 or the District Attorney’s investigators at 463-4211.

  1. Did the vandals really “target community literacy”? Some of these articles are getting out of hand, just like the mainstream news.

  2. Trigger liberal…..”it was a cry for help” …also a cry for help….a night stick to the back of the vandals head.

    • Oh my, not the wood shampoo! We cannot have that!
Are the law enforcement ladies and gents even allowed to still carry one?
