A rapidly spreading fire dubbed the “Hill Fire” has engulfed a trailer and ignited nearby vegetation in the 800 block of East Hill Road in Willits.

The blaze quickly escalated to pose an imminent threat to a nearby structure, but when asked if a full wildland fire response was necessary the Incident Commander assured dispatch his fire crews were quickly gaining control of the wildland fire and requested a couple of engines from CAL FIRE.
