On July 26, 2024, Fort Bragg Police Department received information that a juvenile, associated with a criminal street gang, may be in possession of a handgun. Officers gathered information throughout the day and developed enough probable cause to apply for a search warrant, which  was granted by a judge.

On July 27, 2024, at approximately 7:15 A.M. Fort Bragg police officers served the search warrant on the residence of the suspect in the 300 block of S Harrison St. During the search,  officers located an unregistered handgun and ammunition consistent with the information received. Officers also located gang affiliated clothing. A second residence of the suspect, in the 900 block of John Cimolino Way was also included in the search warrant. Another search was conducted there. No additional firearms were located, however more gang affiliated clothing was seized.

Captain Thomas O’Neal said, “When we receive a tip, our officers follow up in every way they can. The relentlessness of our officers to keep this community safe is evident in a case like this.  I’m very proud of the work they do.”

The juvenile was booked into Mendocino County Juvenile Hall on the following charges: CPC  29650 – Minor Posses Ammunition (felony); PC 29610 – Minor Posses Firearm (felony); PC  31615 – Posses Handgun w/o Firearm Safety Certificate (misdemeanor); PC 273a (a) – Child  Endangerment due to two other small children in the house having access to a loaded firearm.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact Officer Frank of the Fort  Bragg Police Department at (707)961-2800 ext 223.

    • Yeah man.And it’s also time to focus on the big shit heads that either enable or groom these little miscreants.
Little shit head must be the top dog at the Juvi Hall and received a Hero’s welcome.
Great work as always Fort Bragg PD but it’s beginning to look like Mendo Sheriffs office needs a full-time Gang unit if they do not already have one?
But of course there wouldn’t be any funds available for that due to the board of stupidvisors needing there raises in addition to all of the other wasteful spending and lack of funding.

    • Same! Every week now theres some story about these losers! What a bunch of clowns that have nothing going for themselves & have no real life or ambition . I personally dislike gangs & everything they stand for

  1. There was a gang fight in Fort Bragg involving around 20 teenagers with some stab wounds a few years ago. I could not find any news reports on it. Makes me wonder how bad it is. They seem to be more transparent the last 2 years.

  2. Great work, as usual, by FBPD. To nobody’s surprise Officer Frank proves his value to the community again. Thanks for prioritizing enforcement on Mexican organized crime. The Mexican gangs are a growing problem in Fort Bragg along with the DUIs.

So where are these kids’ parents? Too busy smuggling the meth and fentanyl to supervise their own gun-toting goblins. The parents or legal guardians of these feral tyrants should be punished if the juveniles can’t be held accountable. Like if your kid is playing gangster maybe you should immediately lose any and all government benefits. That would be a good start. Make it real easy to litigate the parents for their children’s rotten behavior. Deport the whole family if the parents are illegal immigrants and can’t control their criminal spawn. No more anchor-babies. Gang-affiliated foreign nationals with repeat offenses should face either Guantanamo or the death penalty as domestic terrorists.

The government should maintain its monopoly on violence, but it’s not doing a good job of that these days.

    • Amen to that. Shout of to Officer Frank for once again getting a gun off the street. This Hispanic gangs are getting way out of hand and we need someone cracking down on them. Hopefully he stays locked up for a long time before he kills somebody!

  3. Back in the day we used our fists… got beat down a couple of times but every time I learned a lesson. Little lady’s have to carry guns… Good job to the officers that handled these clowns and put their lives at risk. I’m sure not one of these brave men attended the Mendo Pride festival in hopland… Well maybe the offender who likes to get gang banged.
