Ukiah Shines Bright at Redwood Empire Fair

Ukiah was alive with bright lights and excited crowds this past weekend as the annual Redwood Empire Fair took over the town. From August 1-4, 2024, the fairgrounds buzzed with activity and fun for all ages.

Visitors enjoyed thrilling performances by sea lions and jugglers, while kids delighted in pony rides and carousel spins. The pie-eating contest drew a crowd, and dozens of our county’s hardworking 4-H students proudly showcased their animals.

The fair was filled with the mouthwatering smells of funnel cake and kettle corn, blending with the joyful screams of ride-goers. It was a weekend of fun, community, and celebration.

Photograph Peter Armstrong was there to capture some of the magic for you to see.
