The following is a press release issued by the Round Valley Skatepark Project:

Since 2022, a group of dedicated volunteers has built a skate community from the ground up! Hosting monthly skate nights is just a small part of what the Round Valley Skatepark Project is all about.
The effort to build a skatepark in Covelo has entered the design phase, with a land agreement currently in progress. As construction costs loom, fundraising efforts have intensified. The Round Valley Skatepark Project is excited to announce the Soul and Art Fiesta Fundraiser on November 2nd in Covelo.
“Skate culture – it’s community,” said Patricia Mera, a Covelo resident leading the project. “It’s art, it’s sport, it’s mental clarity.” This quote was also featured in a recent article in the Press Democrat. Read the full story: Round Valley Skatepark Project hopes to land Tony Hawk’s support.
