The following is a press release from the Ukiah Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
In a significant development in an ongoing investigation, Ukiah Police Department has arrested three Southern California men believed to be linked to a series of pharmacy burglaries throughout California. Two of these burglaries occurred in Ukiah at Myers Pharmacy—one in February and a second at the same location on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Officers ultimately apprehended Albony Williams (31, of Buena Park), Tevin Barnes (32, of Anaheim), and Cedeno Wyatt (42, of Buena Park).
In the early morning of Oct. 15, UPD officers responded to Myers Pharmacy for a burglary alarm. On arrival, they located a broken window and evidence of a burglary that had occurred minutes earlier. No suspects were located at the scene.
Utilizing Flock LPR cameras, officers located images of a Volkswagen SUV seen driving in the area at the approximate time of the incident. Officers learned that the vehicle had been rented by Albony Williams. A UPD detective recognized Williams’ name as a person of interest in prior incidents around the state, including the February break-in at Myers Pharmacy.
During the investigation, officers discovered that Howard Memorial Medical Pharmacy in Willits had also been broken into that morning, shortly after the Ukiah location. No suspects were found at the scene in Willits, but the same method of entry was used, and video surveillance showed what appeared to be the same suspect entering the business. Many medications, including numerous opiate prescription drugs, had been stolen from the Willits location.
UPD issued a “Be on the Lookout” alert to neighboring agencies for the vehicle and suspects. Later that morning, an alert Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputy located the suspect vehicle parked at a Laytonville motel.
UPD detectives authored a search warrant for the vehicle and the suspects’ motel room. Two of the listed suspects, Barnes and Wyatt, were present at the room and arrested. It was determined that Williams had fled the scene before police secured the motel room. However, officers located and arrested Williams later that afternoon—he had made his way back to Ukiah and was found waiting at a bus stop.
Items recovered during and following the arrests include several hundred hydrocodone, oxycodone, and hydromorphone pills, along with bottles of codeine syrup (see attached photo). These medications are frequently abused and highly sought after on the black market.
The suspects face multiple felony charges, including burglary and criminal conspiracy. They were transported to MCSO jail, where they were initially held on $275,000 bond. All three suspects are now out of custody.
UPD detectives are currently working with several other California agencies to provide information and evidence for related cases likely involving these suspects.
Ukiah Police Department would like to thank the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, and Willits Police Department for their assistance in this matter.
As always, UPD’s mission is to make Ukiah as safe a place as possible. For more information about crime in your neighborhood, sign up for notifications via telephone, cellphone, or email by clicking the Nixle button on the UPD website: www.ukiahpolice.com.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Not sure why these criminals wouldn’t still be in jail, since the bond was so high, and the nature of their crimes. Just tired of repeat, repeat, repeat. Please Vote!
Yes on 36.
Statewide burglary of pharmacies stealing opiates and selling on the black market and the police just let them fucking go back into the public? What the fuck is wrong with the law in California? When I was a kid, you get in trouble for burglary, you wait in jail until your court date they don’t just fucking let you go so you can go back to Southern California.
The people that run this state realize that California is the same size as The entire country of Sweden? These people could be anywhere now!
They’re not going to come back for their warrants! How many years is it going to be before some random cop randomly comes up on one of these guys for something minor?
We all know what type of people these are without even looking at their booking pictures.
Somebody needs a civics lesson that goes far beyond my response here.
Bail, or pre-trial release, was an option in all 50 states and territories when you were a child and when your grandparents were children. Either you just weren’t aware of it or, maybe, you couldn’t afford it.
If bail is paid, or sufficient property is pledged, then the suspect is released. Simple and not new.
Republicans practice it too.
Extraordinary circumstances are required in order to incarcerate without a conviction.
Is a check and balance on the potential for state overreach and abuse.
Pre-trial release pre-dates America.
All states enacted versions of bail systems after the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.
The same year the Bill of Rights was intoduced, Congress passed the Judiciary Act of 1789. This provided that all non-capital crimes are bailable.
I’m no apologist for criminals, but I am a staunch supporter of the Constitution, it’s spirit and intent towards creating a “more perfect Union”, and bullwark against government overreach, tyrrany, and the heart of darkness while also working to pluck the darker hearts of criminality off the streets.
It’s not any easy pursuit but it sure beats the hell out of any system that allows false imprisonment for frivolous bullshit or political whimsy/rage.
Thanks to the UPD and MCSO for walking that line.
Written like a civics lesson or an intro to law class dissertation. Well done NF.

Anyone who believes that very similar bail terms are not available and happening everyday in “red” states, like FL, TX, TN, etc, is either not paying attention or is fooling themselves.
Go check for yourself, I have.
In fact, in states with lower median incomes the bail amounts are often lower for similar criminal charges.
There’s this thing called the Constitution of the United States that applies in all states and territories, not just CA.
Everyone should read it and try to understand the historical facts and signposts that led to the choices that formed the base frameworks for innocent until proven guilty and the
It ain’t pretty but it sure beats the unhinged fever dreams and violent retribution fantasies that squarely place all of us onto the very slippery slopes that lead straight into despotism and dictatorship.
We can’t reasonably govern 340million people based purely on the feelings and beliefs of the enraged.
Note these alleged burglars, who I have no empathy for, were not claimed to have firearms or to have inflicted violence during this local spree, which surely would’ve pushed bail into the $500k-$1Mil range.
Someone put up some money to bail out the drug store cowboys!
