The Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) is excited to announce free rides on all fixed-route MTA buses across Mendocino County on Election Day, November 5, to support residents in getting to polling locations. Additionally, Dial-a-Ride services in Fort Bragg and Ukiah will be free exclusively for trips to and from polling sites, making voting more accessible for all. Call to schedule your free Dial-A-Ride to vote, today.

“We know transportation can be a barrier to voting for many in our community,” MTA said in a release on the initiative. “By waiving fares, we aim to ensure that everyone in Mendocino County has the opportunity to participate in the election process without cost as a limitation.”

MTA encourages all residents to take advantage of this free service. Fixed-route buses will operate on their normal schedule and routes. Call to find the stop closest to your polling location for easier access to drop off ballots or vote in person.
