Man shot in leg during Covelo altercation, suspect at large

A man was reportedly shot in the leg during an altercation involving firearms in Covelo on Thursday afternoon.

Scanner traffic indicated the victim arrived at the Covelo Firehouse around 3:22 p.m. seeking medical assistance. Emergency responders were directed to the reported scene of the shooting on the 76000 block of Highway 162.

Dispatchers noted that a suspect fled the scene in a dark gray or black Acura sedan.

An air ambulance was dispatched to Round Valley to transport the victim for additional medical treatment.

    Are you like the UDJ now? Do you only post here twice a week? You must be off doing something else? I mean no coverage of the light parade?

    Now would be a great time for someone in Mendocino County to start a local news website.
