The following is a press release from the Ukiah Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 01/03/2025 at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Ukiah Police Department (UPD) officer was on routine patrol on Leslie Street in Ukiah when he contacted Selene Gonzalez. Gonzalez admitted to being in possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probable cause search was initiated.
In Gonzalez’s purse, UPD officers located fentanyl, a scale, records of drug transactions, and a significant amount of cash. Additional fentanyl was found on Gonzalez’s person, and after being taken into custody, she admitted to having more contraband hidden in her clothing. Gonzalez then removed additional fentanyl, methamphetamine, ketamine, and drug packaging material from her undergarments.
UPD officers ultimately obtained the lawful ability to search Gonzalez’s hotel room, where they found more cash, scales, transaction records, a false compartment in a soda can, and commercial quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin. A check of Gonzalez’s criminal history revealed multiple prior convictions for drug possession.
Gonzalez was arrested and transported to the Mendocino County Jail, where she was booked for four felony charges: 11351 H&S, 11378 H&S, 11395(a) H&S, and 11366.8 H&S.
As always, UPD’s mission is to make Ukiah as safe as possible and rid the community of dangerous drugs. To learn more about crime in your neighborhood, sign up for telephone, cellphone, and email notifications by clicking the Nixle button on our website: www.ukiahpolice.com.
Good. Now get the 100 friends running amok too. They are slinging on every corner. Put in traffic control gates for the poor folks living in Orchard apartments. The drug loop and drop offs are constant and the parking lot is used as a shortcut.
Better yet let’s get military checkpoints at every intersection in town you nazi.
Nope just near your drug infested lib turd address…Newsomehead…lol.
By your comment it causes questioning of your stance. Do you Advocate and support open air drug use and subjecting families and children to needles laying in their playgrounds and police chases through their parking lots frequently? If someone lives in low income housing that does not mean they have to be exposed to horrible deplorable behavior? Running all up and down Leslie Street people shooting guns, slinging drugs, hanging out all hours of the day and night it really is a pretty rough atmosphere for families to have to live in. The entire neighborhood could use a little support to clean up. I know a lot of very good hard-working people that live in that area that struggle with what they have to witness everyday.
Hopefully with prop 36 we’ll actually see a felony charge. Thank you LEO’s.
Which motels do these drug criminals like to stay at?
Trying to explain that these addicted people don’t stay anywhere. It’s transient. They wander to find drugs. Get the drugs and wander somewhere to do them out of sight. Then wander all high yelling. Then pass out somewhere maybe a hotel for 24 hours. Then wander to make money. Then back out wandering for drugs.
Which ones don’t they stay at is a better question. Consider the drug use, fumes and contamination. Bed bugs, body fluids. Bring your black light. Rooms are not steam cleaned and blue glow will be everywhere. Pretty gross. Which ones don’t they stay at? A few on Airport Park. The rest on the main drag and just off the freeway are anything but Royal as the sunsets North and South the Volls crawl past in packs of 8.
This is disturbing to think of a person driving around Ukiah, with a drugstore for all the addicts. How many addicts did this person supply? Glad they are off the streets!
Good old Leslie Street used to be a nice area in the old days, but it’s been in the “ghetto” for a longtime now. It’s sad to see Ukiah and its society in the current state. There’s more areas like this in town that are in serious decline.
