The Willits Center for the Arts (WCA) invites the public to its latest Art Talks lecture, an exploration of the life and work of renowned portrait artist John Singer Sargent. This engaging presentation will take place on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in the upstairs gallery of the WCA, located at 71 E. Commercial Street, Willits, CA.
Known for his exquisite technique and ability to capture the personality and elegance of his sitters, Sargent was one of the most sought-after portrait painters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The presentation will illuminate Sargent’s influence on art history and his continuing legacy in modern portraiture.
Art Talks is a free lecture series designed to bring art history to life for the Willits community and beyond.
Light refreshments will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session following the talk.
