A Tesla Cybertruck overturned Thursday morning along U.S. Highway 101 between Ukiah and Hopland, briefly scattering debris in the northbound lanes but resulting in no injuries, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred around 7:13 a.m. near the Burke Hill exit. Scanner traffic indicated the driver was seen lying beside the vehicle shortly after the accident, but the incident commander later confirmed that no injuries were sustained.
Traffic was minimally affected as crews worked to clear the scene. A tow truck was dispatched to remove the upended vehicle from the embankment.

I saw this on my way to work I must’ve been less than 1 minute behind him because when I got to the top of Burke Hill on my way from Hopland this thing was sitting upside down and NO emergency vehicles were there. I slowed down a bit AFTER passing and pulled out my phone to call 911 and then looked down the hill toward Ukiah and saw the dozens of flashing lights heading South so I knew someone had already called. You can’t tell from the picture but this thing was WAYYY off the highway, like literally 40-50 feet up the hill!! I’ve been wondering all day how it flipped THAT far from the actual road when it’s a totally straight, flat part of the highway. In any case, I hope the driver is okay and I hope they figure out what caused this terrible crash!

Honestly, leaving all political BS out and just looking at the footage as is. I see two drivers that are speeding and making unsafe lane changes without signaling. Both drivers were driving aggressively. If the driver of the black truck was targeting the cyber truck, I would have expected him to brake check when he pulled in front. The cyber truck pulling into the fast lane so quickly caused it to be in the trucks blind spot, it is possible that he just drifted out of his lane. It’s impossible to say it was intentional, but it was not a pit maneuver per se. Why would he want to wreak his own vehicle? After looking at the posted footage I see to vehicles making unsafe lane changes in the same space. Both drivers should have received a citation. In my opinion.
