  1. Seems to me that the continued legalization, and relaxed laws, at the state levels, has worsened not only the criminal elements but the environmental & economical health of our county & many others.

    • I dunno, there are definitely less reports of human trafficking on weed farms. During the height of illegality there was a girl gone missing or locked in a box every month. People were getting shot for stumbling upon hidden grows.
The wine growers are just as bad, just as environmentally irresponsible. I grew up on a pear and grape farm, we all have cancer and alcoholism and we use migrant labor too.
The blackmarket grows aren’t selling to locals anymore. They’re selling it to New Mexico and Georgia. Think of the taxes Mendo could receive if all our weed was exported legally.
Those dry states are just PRETENDING their population doesn’t smoke! Because of THAT weed remains an uexportable product, and despite living in the 4th largest economy in the world, California, Mendocino County is STILL impoverished, STILL has no jobs, STILL has no
doctors. We must demand that those backwards states stop pretending they don’t smoke or have premarital sex and that they start paying taxes to Mendo on OUR exported weed!!

  2. Why was nothing negative said by Kendall about the other illegal grow site? The illegal grow was not considered being involved in drug trafficking organization, what because it wasn’t in Covelo? Oh, but Kendall isn’t racist. He just picks and chooses which illegal grows are involved in that type of activity and it continuously seems to be ONLY Covelo. Kendall is ridiculous.
That being said, My prayers go out to those that lost their family members.
