A 42-year-old Clearlake woman died Saturday, June 7, 2025 after a possible drowning at Highland Springs Reservoir, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Lauren Berlinn, spokesperson for the agency, confirmed that Kimberly Kay Hill was transported from Highland Springs to Sutter Lakeside Hospital, where deputies later responded for a coroner’s investigation. The official cause of death will be determined following an autopsy.

Earlier that afternoon, around 2:05 p.m., emergency radio traffic indicated a report of a possible drowning at the south end of the reservoir. A female was reportedly found face-down in the water, and bystanders were giving CPR with instructions provided over the phone.

Highland Springs Reservoir, located 4.5 miles southwest of Kelseyville, is part of a 3,200-acre recreation area popular with hikers and horseback riders.
