MEDIUM Art Center will present Suburban Driveways, a group photography show opening on Friday, July 11, 2025. Starting on July 4, you can get an early look at the exhibition. The show, featuring work by Rob Beckstrom, Jeremy Ronco, Tim Mitchell, Meredith Hudson, and Chris Pugh, explores forgotten corners, patched fences, and crooked lawn ornaments that hold stories often overlooked.

“This show isn’t about nostalgia,” said curator Chris Pugh. “It’s about the stuff we walk past every day. These scenes are plain, but they carry weight, somewhere between memory and neglect.”

With a dry sense of humor, the work reflects a shared visual approach, with each artist bringing a different voice to the table. The result is a collection that feels both familiar and strange, mundane yet uneasy, static yet quietly charged with meaning.

An opening reception will be held Friday, July 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. during Ukiah’s First Friday Art Walk. Refreshments will be available during the event. The exhibition will be available for early viewing starting July 4. The show will remain on view through July 27 at MEDIUM Art Center, located in the Pear Tree Center at 518 E. Perkins Street, Ukiah. Admission is free. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 8:00 p.m.
