The incident reportedly occurred at 7:13 p.m. and first responders on the scene are attempted to control traffic and extricate the pickup from the side of the roadway where it laid to rest.
Reportedly a Ford Explorer flipped over in the northbound lane block traffic and caused minor injuries to a male occupant.
At approximately 11:55 p.m. first responders were requested to the intersection of SR 20 and 1st Avenue in Lucerne regarding reports of a pickup truck colliding with a parked vehicle in the westbound lane.
Breaking News: At approximately 10:23 p.m. initial reports emerged that an elderly white male adult was jumping in and out of the eastbound lane of Highway 20. At 10:35 p.m., the pedestrian was reportedly struck.
A man walking along the roadway was struck and killed by a vehicle last night.
Information as to how first responders will attempt to extricate the vehicle is unclear at this point.
The driver has reportedly suffered lacerations to the face.
County Roads and other workers are responding to the scene to both display signage communicating the closure and work to clear the roadway.
The collision reportedly occurred as one of the vehicles was merging onto Highway 101 from the Perkins Street on-ramp. One of the vehicles reportedly stuck the center divider while traveling northbound.
Early reports indicate they might have hit ice leading to the collision.
