3 Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed Amongst Ukiah Walmart Staff

Categories:

After days of social media rumors, County Executive Office’s Sarah Dukett has confirmed three Ukiah Walmart employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

Dukett said more information will be released during tomorrow’s Mendocino County COVID-19 press conference.

Mendocino County Public Health Officer Dr. Noemi Doohan explained that a workplace outbreak is defined as, “three employees with epilinks between them (indicating that they spread it to each other).”

According to a Walmart employee we spoke with on the phone, the store is currently open to customers. Walmart.com explained that some of the pandemic protocols the company has put into place include requiring facial coverings of both staff and customers and offering “no contact pick up and delivery.”
