Structure Burning near Boonville

According to scanner traffic, a fire has engulfed a structure on the 19000 block of Mountain View Road near Boonville. According to the scanner, a large column of smoke has been reported.

UPDATE: 7:15 pm

Water tenders have been canceled with at least one on the scene, according to the scanner, but the dispatcher reports fire personnel have yet to make it inside the residence.

UPDATE: 7:50 pm

According to Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall, Cal Fire and Anderson Valley Fire have successfully tamped down the flames and will be dousing the site with water over the next few hours. Sheriff Kendall said deputy sheriffs will be on scene at sheriffs will secure the scene over night and investigators will analyze the site tomorrow morning.
