Single Car Accident Results in Traffic Fatality Outside of Point Arena

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, a single vehicle accident east of Highway 1 up Mountain View Road has resulted in a fatality near Point Arena between Manchester and Flumville.

The CHP Incident Information Page says the vehicle rolled over, is in a culvert, and an involved reporting party told the CHP dispatcher that the accident “is bad.”

Dispatchers are calling for a “rope rescue” for one of the affected at scene.

UPDATE 6:52 am

The CHP Traffic Incident page indicates this crash has resulted in two people being injured and one fatality. The page also indicates the vehicle is approximately 300 feet down a ravine.
