The following information was published on the National Weather Service Eureka California Facebook page:
A push of dry northerly winds will spread down the northern
Sacramento Valley as high pressure builds in from Oregon this weekend. These winds will turn to the northeast and may clip portions of Lake County Saturday night through Monday morning. Poor humidity recoveries are expected during those two nights, with daytime humidity dropping into the teens. The combination of locally gusty ridgetop winds, low humidity, and dry fuels may result in critical fire weather conditions.
The rest of the interior will see increasingly hot and dry conditions through this weekend into early next week, which may result in ongoing fires becoming more active. However, winds outside of the ridges around Lake County are expected to be mainly light.
