20 year-old Fort Bragg woman Lena Reid has been arrested accused of a slew of sex crimes against a children, according to a press release from the Fort Bragg Police Department.
A review of the Mendocino County Sheriff Booking Log indicates the charges Reid faces include developing photos of a sexually exploited child, lewd and lascivious acts upon a child, and oral copulation of a victim under 10 years old.
The press release issued by the Fort Bragg Police Departments follows. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty::
In May 2020, Fort Bragg Police Department received information of a Lewd Act with a Child under 14 years; an incident that occurred in April 2020 within the city limits of Fort Bragg.
Fort Bragg Police Officers conducted an active investigation into the incident. Upon completion of the investigation, the report was forwarded to the Mendocino County District Attorney for review. After review by the District Attorney’s Office they filed eleven counts of Lewd Acts on a child under 14 year of age, six charges are felonies, five are misdemeanor violations. Ten Mile Superior Court in Fort Bragg issued an arrest warrant for Lena Reid of Fort Bragg.
On October 26, 2020, Reid was located on South St. near Main St. and taken into custody. Reid was booked at the Fort Bragg Police Department than transported to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Jail to be held until her court hearing.
This investigation was multi-jurisdictional involving the Ukiah Police Department, California State Parole Office and the Mendocino County District Attorney’s Office.
