It’s happening, the Fort Bragg’s 2020 Lighted Truck Parade is coming up this weekend! Be advised, there
is a new parade route and early activities taking place.

Under Mendocino County’s Health Officer, Dr. Andy Coren’s guidance this year, the route will be staged
and start on the west side of Cypress Street near the south entrance to Noyo Headlands Park, floats will
turn left onto Main Street and continue north through town to West Elm Street, where the parade wil
terminate.

The longer parade route will allow households to watch the parade from their cars along the route. Please
note that we strongly encourage families to watch safely from their vehicles, so please take precautions.
An even safer option, you can watch the parade live on the City of Fort Bragg’s Facebook page. Masks
and social distancing are mandatory during staging, on the floats, and for anyone observing from outside
their own vehicle.

Because of the limitations on gatherings, the City will not be hosting the Christmas Tree Lighting
Ceremony this year. However, the Fort Bragg’s Fire Department will be hosting a Drive Thru Candy Cane
Run and Canned Food Drive between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Fort Bragg Fire Station, 141 Main Street.
There will also be an emergency “Go Bag” give-a-way to the first 300 vehicles participating in the Candy
Cane Run.

This year, the parade entry fee has been waived and registration is open to anyone wishing to participate
using a Holiday friendly theme. Just show up at the Noyo Headlands Park, staging begins at 5:30 pm, the
parade will start at 6:30 pm. All motorized equipment must carry a fire extinguisher and no handing or
throwing of any item including candy or flyers will be permitted.

Everyone is invited! Come out and join the fun or watch from home by participating as a community in a
safe manner.
