According to Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office’s Public Information Officer Samantha Karges, deputies are investigating the case of runaway Kayla Ladonna Berteaux, a 15-year-old from Phillipsville
Karges said Berteaux was reported missing on January 4, 2021, and could possibly be in the company of a 45-year-old white male in the Honeydew area.
Karges described Berteaux as a “white female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, 107 pounds, with dyed-brown hair and hazel/brown eyes.” Berteaux was reportedly last seen wearing “jeans and a maroon salty crew long sleeve.” Karges added Berteaux is “believed to have her red Adidas sweats with her.”
Karges asks that anyone with information regarding Berteaux’s whereabouts call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251.
UPDATE: Missing Humboldt County Kayla Berteaux has been located, as per a post on her mother’s Facebook page.
