One Deceased After Traffic Collision Near Redwood Valley

At approximately 3:45 p.m., multiple agencies began responding to reports of a traffic collision in Redwood Valley. Scanner traffic indicates as a result of the collision, one individual is deceased and requires extraction from a 100 foot embankment.

Responding agencies include California Highway Patrol, Redwood Valley Fire, and deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

Mendocino County Sheriff Office’s Public Information Officer Captain Greg Van Patten confirmed sheriff’s deputies are responding to the scene regarding reports of a “collision fatality” located approximately 1.5 miles up from Uva Drive on Bell Arbes at Green Field Ranch.

UPDATE 5:13 p.m.

Scanner traffic indicates the decedent has been successfully extracted from down the embankment.
