Mendocino County Suffers Its 41st Death Due to COVID-19

Categories:

In this morning’s Mendocino County Public Health COVID-19 dashboard update, residents were informed that another life was taken due to COVID-19. This makes for a total of 41 Mendocino County residents who have lost their life due to the virus.

Mendocino County Public Health’s Information Officer Ashley Toxqui said the county’s most recent COVID-19 casualty was a 94-year-old hispanic male from the Ukiah area who passed away in hospice.

Toxqui warned that Public Health is “still seeing this deadly virus spread in the community.” Toxqui spoke of a troublesome trend: “Recently, we have seen a steep drop in testing- we are urging all to regularly get tested for COVID-19, at least once per month if possible, whether you have been vaccinated or not. This is to slow any spread that has thus far gone undetected.”
