[Updated: Contained] Vegetation Fire Burning into Overhead Trees East of Fort Bragg on Highway 20

Scanner traffic indicates as of 1:13 p.m. firefighters are responding to the intersection of Highway 20 and Benson Lane after dispatch received reports of a vegetation fire. The “Benson Incident” Commander reported the fire is currently 25×35 feet in size and is burning into the canopy above.

The reporting party told the dispatcher brush alongside the road is burning and trees overhead are “scorching”.

UPDATE 1:28 p.m.: The Incident Commander reported the fire is contained.
