Like It or Not Hosts Interview Sara Shepherd About Tragedy and Healing After 2017’s Redwood Complex Fire

Categories:

Carter Lane and Drew Nicoll , the hosts of Mendocino County’s very own podcast Like It or Not, spoke with Sara Shepherd, a survivor of the 2017 Redwood Complex fires.

Shepherd and her husband John survived the fire but as Lane describes, “the fire took everything else including their two children Kressa and Kai.”

Lane said Shepherd, “spoke with us for the first time in her own words about what happened to her family during the start of the 2017 Redwood Complex Fire.” He said, “We are so grateful to provide her with a platform to share her story and heal her wounds through it.”

Alongside Shepherd sat Mindi Ramos, Shepherd’s sister who has “been by her side through it all.”

The Like It or Not podcasts are released weekly on Thursday mornings at 5:00 am and are available on all podcast platforms.

Past guests of the podcast have included local musician Korey Ross, Financial Advisor Richard Kostas, Owner of Ukiah Valley Athletic Club Lauren Strangio, Pastor Mike Dyer, DJ and Juvenile Probation Manager Jack Seshwann, and Dr. Marvin Trotter.
