Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicates there is a small grass fire burning near Highway 101 near the Lake Mendocino Drive Off-ramp.
Fire personnel have been dispatched and the Incident Commander reported the fire is burning in the grassy area of the road’s shoulder. Initial estimates describe the fire as a 20’x30′ with a slow rate-of-spread not threatening any structures.
UPDATE 3:52 p.m.: The fire is reportedly out after traffic had to shut down to one lane.
