Categories:

The following is a press release issued by the Ukiah Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

Donald Spencer [Mugshot from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Booking Logs]

On 09/10/2021, at about 1220 hours, an 86-year-old female Ukiah resident reported being threatened with a skateboard on the 700 Block of S. Oak St, in the City of Ukiah. She described 49-year old Donald Spencer as screaming at her and raising his skateboard in an aggressive manner while threatening to strike her. The victim was walking with the assistance of a walker. Fearing for her safety, she hurried to a nearby worker who called 911 for her.

UPD officers obtained statements and located a skateboard, consistent with the reported incident. Spencer was located in his vehicle, which also served as his primary shelter, along with his dog. Spencer was belligerent with police officers and uncooperative, but he made admissions about the incident. Spencer was ultimately arrested and booked at Mendocino County Jail for the above listed violations. His vehicle was stored and his dog is being held by the Ukiah animal shelter. The victim was provided with transportation back to her residence and adult protective services was notified.

  1. He’s been charged with 3 felonies and a $50,000. bond. Don’t think he’s geettin’ out. Great thanks! to the senior lady, for her courage, in calling upd. She saved the dog!

  2. When an 86 year old woman is attacked and threatened by a 49 year old man, it’s time for a city to have a serious conversation with itself. These zombie people must be removed from the streets or the children are next. Attention do-gooders It’s no longer virtuous to give these tweeters a helping hand.

    • Amen , ukiah is terrible , I got followed all the way home by the police one time a couple months back for looking like someone the cop couldn’t provide proof of but every damn day there’s people doing donuts up the street and driving down the road like it’s a freeway but they don’t get followed home or pulled over

  3. Why do so many people want to get rid of ‘Plowshares’ ? Thought that’s supposed to be helping. Still so many begging, laying around sidewalks, like they’re giving up. Why have so many chosen Ukiah? Cloverdale has none and is a really nice, safe town for kids to grow up.
