Police Pursuit Ends After Three Vehicle Traffic Collision in Ukiah

A police pursuit within the Ukiah city limits ended in the Safeway parking this evening after the vehicle being pursued collided with two other vehicles. Medical is reportedly at the scene but no major injuries have been reported.

Scanner traffic indicates the pursuit started in the area of Slam Dunk Pizza at approximately 8:55 p.m. on North State Street where the driver was reportedly zig-zagging in the parking lot.

From there, the vehicle raced through Ukiah upwards of 70 miles per hour.

The suspected driver reportedly has significant prior arrests. The pursuit came to an end near the southward entrance of the Safeway parking lot around 9:05 p.m. after the vehicle collided with a red Jeep SUV and a green Subaru Forester.

  1. Witnessed this first hand last night. Saw the car driving around town yelling with the music blaring, and then saw him running from the cops later. We were eating dinner on the patio of OCO Time, and had to jump out of our chairs as the blue car came screeching around the corner right past us, followed by three cop cars.
