According to the PG&E Power Outage map, 1,362 customers in the Round Valley area are without power this evening. PG&E offered a preliminary determination as to the cause of the outage stating it was “caused by the weather.”
Outage status information provided by PG&E indicates power was lost at approximately 6:05 p.m. There is no solid indication as to when the power will be restored with PG&E stating the estimated time is “To Be Announced.”
The skies in Mendocino County’s northern region indicate skies are cloudy as a significant weather event descends on the region, as seen in a screenshot from the AlertWildFire Webcam atop Eden Peak.
A post from the National Weather Service on their Facebook page indicates the Mendocino County region will experience heavy rain causing rivers to rise anywhere from 1 foot to 5 feet until Friday.
UPDATE 9:43 p.m.: The power outage in Round Valley has decreased in scope now affecting only 171 customers.
