Deputies Run Records Check After Traffic Stop Arresting Willits Man for Three Outstanding Warrants, Says MCSO

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 11-07-2021 A Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Freddy Sepeda near Highway 101 and Reynolds Highway in Willits, California.  

The Deputy contacted Sepeda and conducted a law enforcement records check.  The Deputy learned Sepeda had three outstanding arrest warrants from Kern County in California. 

Two of the arrest warrants were felonies for motor vehicle theft and for grand theft.  The other misdemeanor warrant was for violation of Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).  

Sepeda was booked into the Mendocino County Jail for the listed arrest warrants and was to be held in lieu of $75,000.00 bail.
