Driver Strikes Pedestrian in Willits Neighborhood and Flees

Scanner traffic starting around 2:30 p.m. indicates law enforcement and medical personnel responded to the 400 block of Della Avenue in Willits regarding a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and then the driver subsequently fled.

The vehicle that left the scene is reported to be a Pontiac driven by a white, adult male.

The patient is currently in a home near the site of the collision and as per the Incident Commander refused medical services against their advice.

Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol, Willits Police Department, and medical personnel are on scene.
