The California High Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicates a head-on traffic collision on State Route 29 between Middletown and Hidden Valley Lake has resulted in a fatality.
The collision occurred around 5:19 p.m. between a black BMW SUV and a white sedan. Initial assessments on the scene described one patient with major injuries and another with minor. Soon after, the Incident Commander reported the patient with major injuries succumbed to them and was deceased.
A news release distributed by the California Highway Patrol Ukiah Office describes the collision near mile marker 8.3 of SR-29 just south of Grange Road. The release states the roadway is open at this time, but drivers should expect potential traffic delays and “use caution if traveling through the area.”
