The following is a press release issued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office:
On April 17, 2022, at approximately 10:00 P.M., a home invasion assault took place in the residential area of Edgewater Dr. Kelseyville Riviera. The suspect forced his way into a residence and assaulted an adult female until confronted by her husband. The husband was able to physically restrain the suspect and remove him from the residence. The suspect ran away on foot.
The suspect was described as a white male adult, short hair, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. It was reported the suspect had a tattoo on his upper chest. No description of the tattoo could be provided.
The motive behind the assault is unclear, and the suspect is still at large. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant, lock their doors at night and be aware of strangers in the neighborhood.
The Sheriff’s Office asks those living in the Edgewater and surrounding neighborhoods to review any cameras or video doorbells cameras for footage of any suspicious person(s).
