Scanner traffic around 11:12 p.m. indicates that there is currently a high-speed chase going south on Highway 101 through Santa Rosa.
Spikes have been requested by the Santa Rosa Police Department to stop the fleeing vehicle, described as a black pickup truck with no places that is going at speeds as high as 100 miles/hour.
As of 11:16 p.m., the vehicle was south of the Todd Avenue exit and spikes were set up at the Golf Course Drive exit in Rohnert Park.
UPDATE 11:18: There is reportedly a solo occupant in the vehicle described as a Hispanic male adult. The original reason for pulling over the vehicle was reckless driving.
UPDATE 11:24 p.m.: The vehicle is reportedly now south of Petaluma. CHP did not deploy spike strips due to roadway conditions. Santa Rosa Police Department has ceased the pursuit and agencies in Southern Sonoma and Marin County have been requested to assist.
UPDATE 11:28 p.m.: The dispatcher is reporting the vehicle resembles a stolen vehicle out of Rohnert Park.
