State Route 271 is closed for the night after a landslide blocked both lanes bringing mud, rocks, and trees into the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicates that authorities will be closing the road for the night and Caltrans will be on the scene tomorrow morning to clear the lanes.

SR 271 is a scenic portion of the former Highway 101 that also connects with State Route 1 just before it terminates in Leggett.
