The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 05-01-2022 at 10:47 P.M. Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 20 in the area of Marina Drive near Potter Valley, California.
The Deputies observed the vehicle was traveling in excess of the posted speed limit. The Deputies performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, who was identified as Fernando Solorio.
Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch advised there was an active felony warrant for Solorio’s arrest out of Mendocino County. [Solorio stands accused of unlawful sex with a victim under 16]
The Deputies arrested Solorio for the warrant and he was booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $15,000.00 bail.
